The main objective of this project was to increase campus awareness and student registration in the performing arts ensembles for the Colleges of the Fenway, a collaborative effort of five neighboring Boston-based colleges. As the posters were designed to be placed on bulletin boards and at various locations across the campuses, the goal was for the posters to stand out and cut through the clutter. To help achieve this, bold, flat colors were utilized to help draw the viewers’ eye. Iconic black and white images anchor the compositions and are supported by textured typography and hand drawn elements. The overall design is meant to be energizing, while bringing alive the different qualities of the performing arts ensembles.



Rob Davison is Creative Director at Boston University’s award-winning internal creative agency. His team’s responsibilities range from creative strategy and brand development to marketing writing and advertising. Previously, Rob held senior creative leadership roles at Raytheon Technologies, MathWorks and Northeastern University, where he led the creative development of national campaigns and initiatives. Rob serves on the Alumni Board of Directors at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he is also an Assistant Professor.
