BFA '26 Sculpture
I create art to express, examine, and communicate personal experiences or compelling narratives. I am a multimedia artist who incorporates imagery from art history, combining illusions of Robert Mapplethorpe and John F. Peto with the visual language of internet culture and iconography. An obsession with collecting objects has led me to make work that mirrors assemblage both in painting and sculpture. Both shock value and audience reaction are very important to my work. I find lots of satisfaction in presenting people with work that baffles, disturbs, or entices the viewer. I find my work is strongest when creating beauty in something people find disturbing.
