In my artistic practice, I explore the theme of nature in my illustrations; the intersection of sound, color, and immersive experience in my new media works, particularly through the lens of synesthesia. I created visual textures as relational forms to musical pieces, natural rhythms from my sensory experiences. Fish Don’t Sleep is an exploration of my multisensory reality as a flicker of waterworld, continuous underwater life with an energy that is imagined. Layered structures and swirling forms reflect the sound waves of oceans, movement from organic forms. This illustration is a meditation; at the same time, it is an awakening consciousness to the unique perception of the world.
