Will Suglia

MFA ’16 Fine Arts 2D

In practice, I explore image and form as it relates to narrative. This investigation extends into a diverse array of mediums and processes, with a recent focus on low relief sculpture.

My exploration is a fusion of storytelling with materials and process. Connecting the languages of painting, and sculpture I strive to translate these narratives into tangible forms. The recent emphasis on low relief sculpture provides a tactile dimension to my storytelling as objects found as fragments of stories depicted as monuments or ruins, while a painted language ornaments the surface as mural or graffiti to give another context of time or place
