Roya Amigh

I create many tiny drawings with thread glued onto paper, which I assemble into a structure inspired by organs like the uterus and vulva. I then cut the form into fragments and stitch them back together, reflecting the fragmentation often felt by women. Through these works, I explore themes of gender, sexuality, class, and identity, emphasizing the interconnected struggles for women’s freedom across cultures. By highlighting cross-cultural solidarity, I shed light on global patriarchal oppression while celebrating women’s resilience and strength.
