Faith Baum

MFA ’24 Fine Arts 2D

Faith Baum’s paintings, drawings, and prints explore the interplay between people and the places they inhabit. Within the buildings that line our streets, furnishings and artifacts that bear witness to our daily rituals, inside and outside, these physical assemblages, like marks on a canvas, display the moods and characters of the owners, traces of their lives. Faith’s art practice is dedicated to sharing observations about how we touch our homes and workplaces, and about expressing the unseen truths in the material aspects of our lives. She asks the questions — What is that? Why is it like that? Who is it for?
