Faith Baum

MFA ’24 Fine Arts 2D

My paintings, drawings, and prints reflect my curiosity about how people shape the places where they live and work, and about what often goes unnoticed in daily life. I employ two-dimensional media to express this fascination in visual form.

The collage, The Landscape under Siege, addresses the scarring of natural landscapes caused by unchecked development. While acknowledging the pressing need for affordable housing in the United States, the work emphasizes my belief that these challenges can be met in ways that respect the land and safeguard the environment.
