My artwork is inspired by my love for birds and nature, entangled with my challenging family history. I create collages with patterns and textures that incorporate elements from my past, embedding symbolic and personal iconographic imagery within landscapes of childhood memories. While my earlier work focused on traditional bird depictions and landscapes, it has evolved into exploring individual vignettes that delve into nostalgia, loss, trauma, and gratitude themes. I use a combination of acrylic and oil brushwork, collaged elements, and transfer prints to create deeply psychological and metaphorical works. Birds are central to my art, symbolizing change, freedom, and the ability to rise literally and figuratively. Every piece includes symbolic elements that add narrative depth. I blend my memories with various mediums to achieve a realistic and symbolic style. I aim to convey a sense of hope and transformation, drawing from the rich tapestry of my past to create pieces that resonate on both a personal and universal level.
