Zaire Love

Zaire Love’s work captures the real lives of Black Southerners and marries them with imagination, creativity, and possibility. Her mission is to honor, amplify, and archive the stories and voices of the Black South, concentrating her work in Memphis, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Her art is a reflection of the Black experience in America where Black folks live in a duality of real-life while always dreaming, imagining, and reimagining ways to express and to get free. She is a graduate of Spelman College [BA], Houston Baptist University [M. Ed], and the University of Mississippi [MFA]. She is currently making and creating with her creative cultural studio, Creative Cornbread.

Her artistry is an ode to being Black and southern in America because the Black South has always had meaningful “cornbread” to share.
